A photo and rough dimensions are enough. Tell me the city, the type of place, and whether the wall is indoors or outdoors.
I send you a digital sketch over the photo of your wall, with a detailed quote. Free.
From 150 € per sqm for a simple motif, more if the design is very detailed. We set the date together.
The questions that come up most often.
Yes. Before any agreement, Giulia shows you the project as an image on your own wall, with a detailed price. Several sketches are proposed to you before the project is confirmed.
Bologna is the most arcaded city in the world, UNESCO-listed since 2021: many porticoes of 19th-century bourgeois palazzi still carry original painted decorations, the grotesques. A setting that dialogues naturally with detailed mural work, painted by hand in acrylic, with no wallpaper and no printing.
No damage. Acrylic bonds to a painted or plastered wall, with no stripping and no heavy undercoat. And if you change your mind in ten years, a roller of paint covers it.
Here, a mural works when it dialogues with the pictorial tradition of the porticoes and the dense life of the university quarter.
Living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, entrances, and ceilings in the palazzi of the centre. Example: a living room wall of 8 sqm in a detailed design, around 2 000 €.
Restaurants, trattorias, shops, and stores near the Mercato delle Erbe and the university quarter. In a market where competitors look alike, a mural is one of the few things that cannot be copied. Example: a restaurant wall of 12 sqm in a detailed design, around 3 000 €.
A portico offers more sheltered exposure than a fully exterior wall, but the surface is always assessed before painting. For a facade or portico visible from the street, the owner's or the building association's approval is usually enough, plus a notice to the town hall in a UNESCO-listed zone. From 150 € per sqm, plus scaffolding if needed.
Bologna is the most arcaded city in the world, UNESCO-listed since 2021: many porticoes of 19th-century bourgeois palazzi still carry the grotesques, original painted decorations on a white background. Requests come from apartments in the centre, restaurants, and shops near the university quarter looking for a distinctive element. Giulia travels easily to paint: she comes on site to see the wall, or works first from photos and measurements.

Bologna is the most arcaded city in the world, UNESCO-listed since 2021, with a long pictorial tradition in its portico decorations and a lively university quarter.
Giulia also travels to Modena, Ferrara, Imola.
The price is per square metre: 150 € for a simple motif, 250 € for a detailed design, 350 € for trompe-l’oeil or a ceiling. A small mural in a bedroom costs less than a facade that needs preparation and scaffolding. The quote is free.
The time depends on the project: it is discussed together based on the wall and the subject. As a general guide, a simple motif takes less time than a very detailed design or a large surface.
Yes, with surface preparation and paints made for outdoor use. Under a portico, exposure is more sheltered than on a fully exterior wall, but the surface is always assessed before painting.
For an interior wall, no. For a facade or portico visible from the street, you usually need the owner's or the building association's approval, and a notice to the town hall: Bologna's porticoes are UNESCO-listed and largely protected. Giulia explains the process before starting.
Yes. A mural painted in acrylic can be covered like any wall paint. It can also be reworked or extended later.
