Painting a place that matters
The family home, the grandparents’ village, the view from the holiday terrace, the harbour where you met, the mountain of every summer: Giulia paints the place from your photos, and you can tell her what it means. That story guides the light, the time of day, the mood of the painting. A winter photo is painted in summer, a noon becomes an end of day, a grey sky gives way to a clear one: Giulia rethinks the light of the place, and that is the difference between a painting and a reproduction.
You send one or more photos, taken if possible at the hour you love, morning light, late afternoon, summer or winter. Giulia replies within 48 hours with a free quote, and two complimentary sketches set the crop and the mood: you approve the horizon exactly where you want it. She then paints in acrylic, with a brush, showing the work in progress, and touch-ups are included until the place is right.
The landscape can be inhabited, discreetly or openly: two figures on the path, the family on the steps of the house, a boat with its passengers. It then becomes both the portrait of a place and that of a moment, and Giulia sets the presence of the figures exactly where you wish.
Size, and occasion
Landscape loves width: the 50×70 cm is its natural size above a sofa or a chest of drawers, the 40×50 cm suits a bedroom or study wall. On paper, the framed A4 makes a fine series if you have several places painted over the years. A very detailed panorama or a large size is quoted.

How much does a hand-painted landscape cost?
From 90 € on paper in A4, from 180 € on canvas in 30×40 cm, 240 € in 40×50 cm, 320 € in 50×70 cm. A very detailed panorama or a large format is quoted individually, reply within 48 hours. The first two sketches are complimentary and adjusted with you. Careful shipping is set out in the quote by destination.
Who paints the painting?
Giulia Dal Bon, a painter trained at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. She exhibits her paintings in art galleries, paints by brush, on canvas or on paper, from your photos, and ships the painting anywhere in Europe, carefully packed. What exactly do I receive?
The painting itself, on canvas or on paper depending on the size chosen, varnished, signed if you wish, and carefully packed for shipping, sent from the country of destination. Before that, you receive the first two sketches, free of charge, and you follow the progress in photos. A 50 % deposit after the sketch is approved, the balance at the end.
