The real starting point
What is needed is the surface in square metres, the height of the wall and the distance it is seen from. A wall above three metres needs scaffolding, which is added to the quote.

Can I see a design before commissioning the mural?

Does a mural damage the wall?
The paint goes onto the plaster already in place, and in most cases dusting it down is enough before starting. If the surface has cracks or rising damp, Giulia flags it before the quote and proposes the preparation needed. Indoors she uses odourless acrylics: a child’s bedroom stays lived in and a restaurant stays open. An acrylic mural can later be painted over like any wall paint, if you change your mind in ten years.
Does a mural last outdoors?
Yes, with preparation of the surface and quartz paint, designed for exterior walls. By the sea an anti-salt varnish is added on request, in town an anti-pollution varnish. Giulia paints outdoors all year round, on a dry wall and in mild weather: she checks the forecast with you and sets the date.
Do I need permission to paint a facade?
For an interior wall, you are free. For a facade visible from the street, you usually need the owner’s or the building association’s approval, and a notice to the town hall if the building is in a protected area. Giulia explains the process before starting, and scaffolding, if the height requires it, is added to the quote.
How long does it take to paint a mural?

What is the difference between a hand-painted mural and spray-painted graffiti?
They are two different crafts. A graffiti artist works with spray cans, with a fast gesture and a graphic finish.
