One rate, with few exceptions
The same price per square metre applies in every country where Giulia paints. The exceptions: Switzerland, Denmark and Sweden, billed in the local currency at that market’s level, and a small number of prestige destinations, listed above.
Every project is welcome, in every country: a small wall in a child’s bedroom as much as a large facade.
A concrete example
A 10 m² wall with a simple floral motif: around €1,500. The same wall fully painted: around €2,500. With an elaborate trompe-l’oeil: around €3,500.
What makes the quote vary
The surface to paint, the complexity of the subject, indoor or outdoor, the condition of the wall before preparation, the height and whether scaffolding is needed.

How much does a mural cost per square metre?
€150 for a line drawing or a simple motif, €250 for a fully painted subject, €350 for a trompe-l’oeil or ceiling. In Switzerland: 200, 330 and 460 CHF. In Denmark: 1 400, 2 400 and 3 300 DKK. In Sweden: 2 100, 3 500 and 5 000 SEK. In prestige destinations: €400, €600 and €800.
Does the price change from one country to another?
Almost never. The same rate applies everywhere. The exceptions: Switzerland, Denmark and Sweden, billed in the local currency at that market’s level, and the prestige destinations.
Is there a minimum order?
Every project is welcome, in every country: a small wall in a child’s bedroom as much as a large facade.

I’d like a mural in my home, how much will it cost me?
The rate is per square metre: 150 € for a line drawing or a simple motif, 250 € for a fully painted subject, 350 € for a trompe l’oeil, a ceiling or a large composition. What does a graffiti artist charge, and why does a brush-painted mural cost what it does?
They are two different crafts. A graffiti artist works with spray cans, with a fast gesture and a graphic finish. A brush-painted mural is built layer by layer, which allows gradients, fine detail and trompe l’oeil: it is a painting made directly on the wall. Indoors, Giulia uses odourless acrylic. And while she paints, people take the time to watch: a brush at work is a show in itself. A brush takes more hours than a spray can, and that time is what the square-metre rate reflects.
What do you call an artist who paints on walls?
A mural artist, a muralist, a wall artist or a decorative painter, and the art itself is called mural painting or wall art.
