A wedding in Lombardy

Lombardy has eight wedding destinations, each with its own page: Milan and the Brianza, Lake Como, Bergamo, Varese and its lake, Lake Garda, Franciacorta, the Oltrepò Pavese and Mantua. Giulia Dal Bon sets up her easel at the edge of the party and paints during the cocktail hour or the dinner, in a villa in the Brianza, a palace in Mantua, an estate in Franciacorta or a lakeside hotel: guests walk by, look, come back, and the canvas moves forward before their eyes. In the evening, you leave with the painting, made and finished on the spot.

A theatre, a stage in Lombardy

On a theatre stage, the canvas is still blank.

Giulia has already painted live on Lombard stages: at the Teatro Mediglia, in the autumn of 2025, with Orlando at the piano; during Piano City Milano, on 24 May 2025, at the Circolo Culturale Romeo Cerizza; at the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan, for Play Green. She also painted in the park of Cernusco sul Naviglio, in the summer of 2025, for an arts event of the association Fermata Giovani Artisti. During a concert, the painting follows the music, piece after piece, and the canvas is revealed on the last note. For an evening that wants a high point, there is the piano and painting show: Orlando & Giulia, Orlando at the piano in a neoclassical repertoire, in the line of Ludovico Einaudi or Hania Rani, and Giulia painting to the rhythm of the music. For a concert or a festival, the dedicated page presents the programme.

Lombardy through the year

In Lombardy, the year reads from Milan to Brescia. In April, Milano Art Week and Design Week open the season in Milan. In May, Piano City Milano fills the city with concerts, and the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, born in 1929, brings classic cars together in Cernobbio, on Lake Como. In June, the Mille Miglia, which started from Brescia in 1927, gathers cars built between 1927 and 1957 in the streets and squares of the city.

In September, Mantua hosts the Festivaletteratura, since 1997, and Monza the Italian Grand Prix, on a racetrack opened in 1922. In 2023, Bergamo and Brescia shared the title of Italian Capital of Culture. Around these dates, villas, hotels and estates receive their guests in the evening, and a live painting gives these evenings a moment the guests take the time to watch, then a canvas that stays with the host or the brand. Giulia speaks Italian, French, English and Spanish: guests who come from several countries talk to her in their own language.

A private party in Lombardy

For a birthday, a dinner or a family celebration, Giulia Dal Bon paints live in the place you have chosen: a villa in the Brianza, a palazzo in Pavia or Cremona, a cascina on the plain, a garden along a naviglio, a terrace on a lake. She paints what makes your evening: the courtyard, the laid table, the garden, or the guests themselves, in watercolour, each one leaving with their portrait. At the end of the party, the painting is finished and signed, and it stays with you. The page on live painting for a private party presents every format.

Lombardy keeps great places of painting: Mantegna’s Camera degli Sposi, painted between 1465 and 1474 in the Palazzo Ducale of Mantua, Giulio Romano’s Palazzo Te, the Accademia Carrara in Bergamo, the monastery of Santa Giulia in Brescia, the Certosa di Pavia, founded in 1396. For a private view, Giulia Dal Bon, trained at Brera, sets her easel in a corner of the room, away from the walls, and paints while visitors discover the exhibition. The subject answers the works on show, the place or the music of the evening, and the gallery chooses it with her. For the opening of a shop or a restaurant, the page on live painting for an opening or a private view explains how it goes.

A brand or company evening in Lombardy

For a collection launch, a partners’ dinner or a trade-fair evening, Giulia paints in front of your guests a canvas that tells the story of the brand or the team: the product, the material, the logo slipped into the composition, the colours of the house. The canvas then stays with the company, with an invoice in its name. Each major city of the region has its page: the one on corporate live painting in Milan, the one on corporate live painting in Bergamo and Brescia and the one on corporate live painting on Lake Como.

The towns of Lombardy

Giulia travels everywhere in Lombardy, from the cities to the villages: to Cernusco sul Naviglio, Mediglia, Lodi, Pavia, Vigevano, Cremona, Crema, Lecco and Sondrio. Two live painting pages tell the region in more detail: those on Milan and on Lake Como.

In practice, in Lombardy

Giulia was born in Segrate and lived a large part of her life in Milan: she knows the courtyards, the halls and the towns where she paints. The length is decided with you, from about twenty minutes to a whole evening. She paints in odourless acrylic, on an easel that finds its place in a corner of a room, a garden or a stage, with a little light if the evening is at night. She brings the canvas, the colours and the easel. For each venue, travel and logistics are agreed together in the quote.

Over several dates. If the format suits you, Giulia comes back: a series of evenings, a whole season or a residency of a few days. The quote is then made for the whole, and you set the dates together.

Your questions, before booking

Does Giulia paint at weddings all over Lombardy?

Yes. In a villa in the Brianza, an estate in Franciacorta, a palace in Mantua or a lakeside hotel, Giulia Dal Bon paints during the cocktail hour or the dinner, and in the evening you leave with the painting, made and finished on the spot. Eight Lombard destinations have their own wedding page. The wedding painting starts at 950 €, free quote within 48 hours.

Can Giulia come to a private party in a villa or a cascina in Lombardy?

Yes. In a villa, a cascina or a palazzo, Giulia Dal Bon needs a corner of about two metres square for her easel and a little light if the party is in the evening. She paints in odourless acrylic, protects the floor around her, and paints the courtyard, the table or the guests. The performance starts at 400 €, free quote within 48 hours.

Can Giulia paint for a private view in a Lombard gallery?

Yes. In a gallery in Milan, Bergamo, Brescia or Mantua, Giulia Dal Bon paints in the room, away from the walls, while visitors discover the exhibition. She herself exhibits her paintings in art galleries. The performance starts at 400 €, free quote within 48 hours.

Can an evening around the Mille Miglia, the Monza Grand Prix or the Festivaletteratura include a live painting?

Yes. In June in Brescia, in September in Monza and Mantua, villas, hotels and estates receive their guests in the evening. Giulia Dal Bon paints during the evening you organise: the place, the table or the logo of the house, on a canvas that stays with the host or the brand. The performance starts at 400 €, the canvas of a brand evening at 900 €, free quote within 48 hours.

Has Giulia already painted live in Lombardy?

Yes: at the Teatro Mediglia, in the autumn of 2025, with Orlando at the piano; during Piano City Milano, on 24 May 2025, at the Circolo Culturale Romeo Cerizza; at the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan, for Play Green, alongside the illustrator Francesco Barcella; and in the park of Cernusco sul Naviglio, in the summer of 2025. Her mural of more than twenty metres dedicated to Gaber and Jannacci can be seen in Milan.

Can the piano and painting show be given in a Lombard theatre?

Yes. Orlando & Giulia present the piano and painting show: Orlando plays a neoclassical repertoire, in the line of Ludovico Einaudi or Hania Rani, and Giulia paints while he plays. It can be given in a theatre, a concert hall, a garden or a villa. It is prepared with the venue and priced on request.

What happens to the canvas after the evening?

It is finished and signed at the end of the evening, and it is yours that same evening. For a couple, it is the wedding painting; for a host, a dated memory of the party; for a brand or a gallery, a canvas that stays in the place it portrays. For a very large format, Giulia Dal Bon finishes the details in her studio, and the delivery date is written in the quote.
