A painting made in front of your teams
A seminar is a run of talks and workshops; in the evening you want something other than a DJ. Giulia paints in front of the teams, at the pace of the evening: people come closer between drinks, follow the progress, take photographs. And at the end there is an object, ready to hang the next day.
She paints the Baie des Anges, the Promenade, the old town, the brand’s motif, or the scene of the evening with the faces present. She can also sketch the guests one by one.
In practice, for a company in Nice
Send the date, the venue and the number of people. Giulia replies within 48 hours with a free, itemised quote and an invoice made out to the company. Two complimentary sketches let management or the agency approve before the evening, and she adjusts the design with you.
She follows your running order: twenty minutes during a speech, an hour at the reception, or the whole evening. She arrives with her own equipment, protects the floor and leaves the same evening with what she brought.
Event venues in Nice and on the French Riviera
Giulia travels to the seminar and party venues of the region: the Negresco and its Baie des Anges room, the Radisson Blu on the Promenade des Anglais with its fourteen hundred square metres of space, the Palais Nikaia and its two thousand two hundred square metres, the Observatoire de la Côte d’Azur on the summit of Mont Gros, a listed monument. And to the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, the hotels of Cap-Ferrat and the villas of the hinterland.
She also works in Villeneuve-Loubet, Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, Biot, Valbonne, Mougins, Sophia Antipolis, Vence, Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Grasse, Èze, Beaulieu-sur-Mer and Menton.
Your questions, before booking
How do I book live painting for a corporate event in Nice?
Tell Giulia Dal Bon the date, the venue and the occasion, and she brings your idea to life with you. She offers you a free quote within 48 hours. Before the day, you choose the size and the subject together, and she prepares the composition if needed. On the day, she paints in front of your guests, event in Nice, and the signed painting is yours that same day. The invoice is made out to the company. Live painting for a company evening starts at 900 €.
Which artist does live painting for companies in Nice?
Giulia Dal Bon, a painter trained at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. She exhibits her paintings in galleries, paints murals in sixteen countries, and paints live on stage and at evening events: at the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan, and at the Festival Gaber in Camaiore on 6 July 2017, alongside the guitarist Gianni Martini. She speaks Italian, French, English and Spanish, and comes to Nice as she does all over Europe, to a congress centre or to your own offices.
Can we have live painting during a seminar, in the daytime?
Yes. A company can have her paint during the day’s workshops, in a corner of the plenary room or the foyer: participants walk past at every break, and the canvas moves along with the programme. It is revealed at the end, often during the closing speech.
Do you work with event agencies?
Yes. Giulia provides an itemised quote that slots into a production budget, an invoice made out to the agency or the end client, and follows the running order minute by minute with the stage manager.
How much does live painting cost for a company evening?
From €900 for a live performance, and the length is decided with you: twenty minutes during a speech, an hour at the drinks reception, or the whole evening. Portraits of your guests, sketched during the evening, start at €1,200. A large format or a full day starts at €2,400. Giulia Dal Bon sends a free quote within 48 hours, itemised line by line so it slots into a budget, with an invoice made out to the company.
What exactly does the company receive?
The canvas, signed, handed over the same evening. The high-resolution file of the painting, for your internal communications, your intranet and your social media. The invoice made out to the company, itemised line by line.
What happens to the painting after the evening?
It stays with the company, hung in reception or in a meeting room: it is the trace of the evening, and everyone who was there recognises it. It can also be given to a departing director, handed to a client, auctioned for a charity, or drawn among the guests. Giulia signs it if you wish.
Can the logo or the brand colours go into the painting?
Yes. Giulia also studied graphic design at the Brera Academy: she draws the lettering by hand and builds the canvas around the company’s colours. The logo can appear painted, or stay out and let the palette speak. It is decided beforehand, on the two complimentary sketches, with your management or your agency.
Can the team take part?
Yes, in three ways. Giulia paints the large canvas of the evening, the venue or the brand motif, and your guests write on it whatever they like: the work leaves with their words on it, like a painted guest book. Everyone can also add a brushstroke, or each team can paint a section that she then ties together. And she paints watercolour portraits of the guests, one by one, each of them leaving with their own. Tell her how many people and how much time you have, and she adapts.
What does Giulia need on site?
A square of about two metres by two, a power socket and some light. She arrives with her easel, her canvases and her paints, protects the floor around her and leaves with her own equipment. The acrylic she uses dries fast, so the canvas leaves the same evening.
Where has Giulia already painted live?
On stages, in theatres, at weddings and at company evenings: she has painted live hundreds of times, dozens of them with the piano and painting show she performs as a duo. Two of those dates are public: at the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan, for Play Green, she painted alongside the illustrator Francesco Barcella, on a reclaimed wooden panel supplied by the Di Nuovo craftsmen. And on 6 July 2017, in Camaiore, for the fourteenth Festival Gaber, she painted under the Arco di Via Vittorio Emanuele beside the guitarist Gianni Martini. The links are on the Press page.
