What Giulia can offer for your evening

Live painting in a reception room: standing at the easel, Giulia Dal Bon paints a large canvas against red drapes.
Giulia paints a large canvas during the reception.

Tell her what you are looking for, she suggests one option or several, and the evening is built with you.

During the evening

The canvas of the evening, and the words of your guests: Giulia paints the venue that hosts you live, and each guest comes and writes whatever they like on the canvas: a word, a name, a signature. The company keeps a painted guest book with the date of the evening on it. From 900 €.

Watercolour portraits of the guests: alone, as a couple or as a team, each guest leaves with their own the same evening, and everyone can have a turn. From 1 200 €.

The canvas painted by your teams: each team paints one part, Giulia links the pieces and holds the composition, and the whole ends up as a single image on your wall. It is the seminar format. From 900 €.

The logo, the product or the winner’s name, painted by hand: Giulia also studied graphic design at the Brera Academy. She draws the lettering by hand and builds the canvas in the colours of the house, and a winner’s name can be painted during the ceremony and handed over on stage. Included in the canvas of the evening, from 900 €.

The piano and painting show: Orlando plays, Giulia paints on stage, and the painting is revealed on the last note. She can also paint the canvas upside down and turn it round at the end, if you want the piece of theatre. Quoted on request.

Before and after

The poster for the evening, painted by hand: the invitation, the poster or the programme, painted by hand, then laid out and delivered print-ready. Giulia signed the poster for the 83rd Open d’Italia. From 700 €.

A mural in your offices in Naples: what your guests watched come to life one evening can stay on a wall, at reception, in a meeting room or in the canteen. Painted with a brush, in odourless acrylic: the place stays open while she works. From 150 € per sqm.

What a live painting brings to an evening in Naples

Naples hosts congresses, launches and brand evenings in its palazzi, its fortresses on the sea and its terraces facing Vesuvius. In 1607 Caravaggio painted The Seven Works of Mercy here for the Pio Monte della Misericordia, where the painting still hangs, in the place it was conceived for: in this city, painting is seen where it lives. A painter at work during your evening finds an audience that takes the time to watch, admire and take photos.

Giulia paints the gulf and Vesuvius, the Castel dell’Ovo on the sea, the façades of Chiaia, the room you are hosting in or the brand’s motif. The signed canvas stays with the company, with the date of the evening on it.

In practice, for a company in Naples

Tell her the date, the venue, palazzo, terrace, fortress or congress centre, the number of guests and the time of sunset if the evening is outdoors: Giulia times her start around it. She replies within 48 hours with a free quote, itemised line by line, and an invoice in the company’s name; two complimentary drawings come before the evening.

Giulia speaks four languages, Italian, French, English and Spanish: she talks directly with your international guests while she paints. The acrylic is odourless, and service carries on around her.

Event venues in Naples

Giulia travels to the event venues of the city: the Stazione Marittima, the port’s congress centre facing Vesuvius; the Mostra d’Oltremare, the exhibition grounds in Fuorigrotta; the Castel dell’Ovo on its islet, which hosts evening events; and the grand seafront hotels on Via Partenope, facing the gulf.

She also works in Pozzuoli, Bacoli, Portici, Ercolano, Torre del Greco, Caserta, Castellammare di Stabia, Vico Equense, Sorrento, Capri and Ischia.

Your questions, before booking

Can Giulia paint during a congress gala dinner at the Stazione Marittima?

Yes. She starts at the welcome, works through dinner and reveals the canvas at the time of the speech, with Vesuvius in the window if the room allows. She can paint the gulf, the theme of the congress or your brand’s motif. The evening canvas starts at 900 €, and watercolour portraits of the guests at 1,200 €.

Is an evening on a terrace facing the gulf possible?

Yes. Giulia paints outdoors all year round in mild weather, and the sunset light over Vesuvius then comes into the canvas. She needs a space about two metres by two and floor protection; she works in odourless acrylic, and the canvas leaves that same evening, signed. From 900 €, invoiced to the company.

Can we have a wall painted in our offices in Naples?

Yes. A mural in a reception hall, a showroom or a meeting room is priced by the square metre, from 150 € per m², and is painted while the offices stay open, in odourless acrylic. Two free sketches come before the first brushstroke, and you give your opinion at every stage.

How much does live painting cost for a company evening?

From €900 for a live performance, and the length is decided with you: twenty minutes during a speech, an hour at the drinks reception, or the whole evening. Portraits of your guests, sketched during the evening, start at €1,200. A large format or a full day starts at €2,400. Giulia Dal Bon sends a free quote within 48 hours, itemised line by line so it slots into a budget, with an invoice made out to the company.

What exactly does the company receive?

The canvas, signed, handed over the same evening, and the invoice made out to the company, itemised line by line. If you wish, Giulia also paints the company name or logo into the composition.

What happens to the painting after the evening?

It stays with the company. Many hang it in reception or in a meeting room: it is the trace of the evening, and everyone who was there recognises it. It can also be given to a departing director, handed to a client, auctioned for a charity, or drawn among the guests. Giulia signs it if you wish.

Can the logo or the brand colours go into the painting?

Yes. Giulia also studied graphic design at the Brera Academy: she draws the lettering by hand and builds the canvas around the company’s colours. The logo can appear painted, or stay out and let the palette speak. It is decided beforehand, on the two complimentary sketches, with your management or your agency.

Can the team take part?

Yes, and it works well at a seminar: everyone adds a brushstroke, or each team paints a section that Giulia then ties together. She keeps hold of the composition so the result stands up. Tell her how many people and how much time you have, and she adapts.

What does Giulia need on site?

A square of about two metres by two, a power socket and some light. She arrives with her easel, her canvases and her paints, protects the floor around her and leaves with her own equipment. The acrylic she uses dries fast, so the canvas leaves the same evening.

Where has Giulia already painted live?

At the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan, for Play Green, she painted live alongside the illustrator Francesco Barcella, on a reclaimed wooden panel supplied by the Di Nuovo craftsmen. And on 6 July 2017, in Camaiore, for the fourteenth Festival Gaber, she painted under the Arco di Via Vittorio Emanuele beside the guitarist Gianni Martini. The links are on the Press page.
