What Giulia can offer for your evening

Live painting in a reception room: standing at the easel, Giulia Dal Bon paints a large canvas against red drapes.
Giulia paints a large canvas during the reception.

Tell her what you are looking for, she suggests one option or several, and the evening is built with you.

During the evening

The canvas of the evening, and the words of your guests: Giulia paints the venue that hosts you live, and each guest comes and writes whatever they like on the canvas: a word, a name, a signature. The company keeps a painted guest book with the date of the evening on it. From 900 €.

Watercolour portraits of the guests: alone, as a couple or as a team, each guest leaves with their own the same evening, and everyone can have a turn. From 1 200 €.

The canvas painted by your teams: each team paints one part, Giulia links the pieces and holds the composition, and the whole ends up as a single image on your wall. It is the seminar format. From 900 €.

The logo, the product or the winner’s name, painted by hand: Giulia also studied graphic design at the Brera Academy. She draws the lettering by hand and builds the canvas in the colours of the house, and a winner’s name can be painted during the ceremony and handed over on stage. Included in the canvas of the evening, from 900 €.

The piano and painting show: Orlando plays, Giulia paints on stage, and the painting is revealed on the last note. She can also paint the canvas upside down and turn it round at the end, if you want the piece of theatre. Quoted on request.

Before and after

The poster for the evening, painted by hand: the invitation, the poster or the programme, painted by hand, then laid out and delivered print-ready. Giulia signed the poster for the 83rd Open d’Italia. From 700 €.

A mural in your offices in Palermo: what your guests watched come to life one evening can stay on a wall, at reception, in a meeting room or in the canteen. Painted with a brush, in odourless acrylic: the place stays open while she works. From 150 € per sqm.

What a live painting brings to an evening in Palermo

Palermo hosts corporate congresses and incentive trips in its Baroque palazzi, and the evenings run late, in halls covered with frescoes and mirrors. Between 1685 and 1718 Giacomo Serpotta covered the walls of the Oratory of Santa Cita with white stucco: whole scenes, draperies and cherubs in relief. In a city where every wall is worked, a painter at work during your evening has her place: guests come closer, watch the canvas grow, take photos.

Giulia paints the Teatro Massimo, the cathedral and its domes, the gulf at the foot of Monte Pellegrino, the room you are hosting in or the brand’s motif. The signed canvas stays with the company, with the date of the evening on it.

In practice, for a company in Palermo

For an incentive trip, send the travel programme, the dates, the palazzo or hotel of the main dinner and the number of participants. Giulia replies within 48 hours with a free quote, itemised line by line for the travel agency or the company, and an invoice in the company’s name; two complimentary drawings come before the group leaves.

With the agency or the venue she sets the moment the canvas is revealed, and she keeps to it. She speaks Italian, French, English and Spanish, paints in odourless acrylic and leaves with her materials the same evening.

Event venues in Palermo

Giulia travels to the event venues of the city: Palazzo Gangi, where Luchino Visconti filmed the ball scene of The Leopard in 1963, which opens its salons to private evenings; Villa Igiea, the grand hotel by the sea at the foot of Monte Pellegrino; and the Teatro Massimo, Italy’s largest opera house, opened in 1897, which also hosts corporate events.

She also works in Monreale, Mondello, Bagheria, Cefalù, Termini Imerese, Carini, Isola delle Femmine, Terrasini, Castellammare del Golfo, Scopello and Trapani.

Your questions, before booking

Can Giulia paint during a gala dinner in a Palermo palazzo?

Yes. She sets her easel in a salon or on the terrace, where guests pass by, and paints during dinner. She can paint the ballroom, the palazzo seen from the courtyard or your brand’s motif, and reveal the canvas at the time of the speech. The evening canvas starts at 900 €, and watercolour portraits of the guests at 1,200 €.

Can an incentive trip to Sicily have its own canvas?

Yes. During an incentive of several days, Giulia can paint on the evening of the main dinner, or follow the group and paint a large canvas over a full day, from 2,400 €. The canvas stays with the company, with the date and place of the trip, and brings back at the office what the teams lived together.

Can we have a wall painted in our offices in Palermo?

Yes. A mural in a reception hall, a showroom or a meeting room is priced by the square metre, from 150 € per m², and is painted while the offices stay open, in odourless acrylic. Two free sketches come before the first brushstroke, and you give your opinion at every stage.

How much does live painting cost for a company evening?

From €900 for a live performance, and the length is decided with you: twenty minutes during a speech, an hour at the drinks reception, or the whole evening. Portraits of your guests, sketched during the evening, start at €1,200. A large format or a full day starts at €2,400. Giulia Dal Bon sends a free quote within 48 hours, itemised line by line so it slots into a budget, with an invoice made out to the company.

What exactly does the company receive?

The canvas, signed, handed over the same evening, and the invoice made out to the company, itemised line by line. If you wish, Giulia also paints the company name or logo into the composition.

What happens to the painting after the evening?

It stays with the company. Many hang it in reception or in a meeting room: it is the trace of the evening, and everyone who was there recognises it. It can also be given to a departing director, handed to a client, auctioned for a charity, or drawn among the guests. Giulia signs it if you wish.

Can the logo or the brand colours go into the painting?

Yes. Giulia also studied graphic design at the Brera Academy: she draws the lettering by hand and builds the canvas around the company’s colours. The logo can appear painted, or stay out and let the palette speak. It is decided beforehand, on the two complimentary sketches, with your management or your agency.

Can the team take part?

Yes, and it works well at a seminar: everyone adds a brushstroke, or each team paints a section that Giulia then ties together. She keeps hold of the composition so the result stands up. Tell her how many people and how much time you have, and she adapts.

What does Giulia need on site?

A square of about two metres by two, a power socket and some light. She arrives with her easel, her canvases and her paints, protects the floor around her and leaves with her own equipment. The acrylic she uses dries fast, so the canvas leaves the same evening.

Where has Giulia already painted live?

At the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan, for Play Green, she painted live alongside the illustrator Francesco Barcella, on a reclaimed wooden panel supplied by the Di Nuovo craftsmen. And on 6 July 2017, in Camaiore, for the fourteenth Festival Gaber, she painted under the Arco di Via Vittorio Emanuele beside the guitarist Gianni Martini. The links are on the Press page.
