Getting married in Paris and the Île-de-France

Why do so many couples marry in Paris and the Île-de-France?
The Île-de-France is the leading wedding region in France, and its châteaux and orangeries host couples from across Europe. Giulia learned French out of a passion for Paris. Giulia Dal Bon paints live wedding paintings there, from 950 € for the painting made on site, work handed over. She speaks Italian, French, English and Spanish, which matters when guests come from several countries. Free quote within 48 hours.
Why does a painter love Paris for a wedding?
Because Paris entrusted its most-seen ceiling to an eighty-year-old painter. In 1960 André Malraux asked Marc Chagall for the new ceiling of the Opéra Garnier; Chagall worked from January to August 1964 on twelve canvas panels and a central disc, assembled at the Meudon workshops, 220 square metres unveiled on 23 September 1964, and declined any payment. Giulia paints a wedding in the Île-de-France with that idea: a painting made for a celebration, given to the place.
What does the painting show?
The moment you choose: the ceremony, the exit, the first dance, the cocktail hour with the guests, or the venue itself with the couple in the foreground. Giulia prepares the composition beforehand from your photographs and images of the venue, then paints on site in Paris and the Île-de-France. You know what you will get before the day itself.
Does Giulia know the area?
She comes to Paris and the Île-de-France and travels across seventeen European countries. She looks at the venue before painting: the light, the colours, the architecture, and what the view gives at cocktail hour. Send her the name of your venue and she will tell you what she would make of it.
The wedding venues in Paris and the Île-de-France

Giulia travels to the villas and reception venues of the area: Château de Vallery, Château de Champlâtreux, Château de Villette.
From the courtyard of Château de Champlâtreux, on the canvas you can see the classical façade behind the couple and the perspective of the park running away. At Château de Vallery, the moats and the brick and stone walls hold the back of the painting. At Château de Villette, the French gardens and the tall trees.
She also works in Paris, Versailles, Fontainebleau, Chantilly, Rambouillet, Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Barbizon, Auvers-sur-Oise, Chatou, Bougival, Moret-sur-Loing, Milly-la-Forêt.
Does Giulia work in the great villas and estates?
Yes, and she adapts to the house rules of each venue: she stands where she is least in the way, protects the floor around her and leaves with her equipment the same evening. Simply let your venue and your wedding planner know. She also works with agencies and provides a detailed quote that drops straight into a budget.
What is the best season in Paris and the Île-de-France?
June, July and September hold most of the weddings, and the gardens stay bright late into the evening. Giulia paints in acrylic, which dries fast and handles open air, so an outdoor wedding paints as well as one indoors. Allow for light if she paints in the evening and shelter in case of rain. The dates still open are in the quote, sent within 48 hours. Giulia is available all year round, winter dates included.
What do we need to arrange on site?
A space of roughly two by two metres, away from the flow but visible to the guests, a power socket and light if she paints in the evening. Giulia brings her easel, canvases, acrylics and brushes. That is all the venue needs to know.
Giulia also paints commissioned murals in the area: see murals in Paris and the Île-de-France.
The piano and painting show, for your wedding in Paris and the Île-de-France

On the evening of your wedding in Paris and the Île-de-France, Giulia can come with Orlando: he plays a neoclassical repertoire on the piano, in the line of Ludovico Einaudi or Hania Rani, and she paints in front of your guests to the rhythm of the music. The two move together to the last note, the magical moment of the evening, and the signed painting is yours that same night. If you are after a theatrical effect, Giulia can paint the canvas upside down and turn it round at the end. The full running order is on the piano and painting show page, and the quote is made to measure.
Live painting in Paris and the Île-de-France, for another occasion

In Paris and the Île-de-France, Giulia also paints for evenings of a very different kind: describe yours, she imagines the format that fits, and you shape it together. A festival that wants a second stage, a venue looking for a finale, a company hosting its clients, every request finds its own shape.
