The painting
I paint, you follow the progress, and your painting arrives at your door, carefully packed.
The venue, one year on as much as ten years on
Wedding photos show the people; the venue stays in the background. A painting gives it back its place: the front of the estate, the vine under which you dined, the avenue of trees, the church at the end of the village, the beach at sunset. Giulia Dal Bon paints it with a brush, in acrylic, from your photos, and you choose the moment of the day, the ceremony, the dinner, the end of the evening.
The scene can stay empty, like a landscape, or keep traces of the party: the tables laid, the lights on, two figures walking away down the avenue. You approve all of that on the sketch before she paints.
This painting is ordered before the wedding, as a gift ready on the day, or long after, for a wedding anniversary: ten years, twenty-five, fifty.
Giving it, and the size
It is a wedding gift that stands out, because it is painted for that very venue: all it takes is a photo of the estate or the church, found on the invitation or on the venue’s website. It is also the gift parents give the couple, and the one a couple gives themselves for their silver wedding, from the photos of the time.
The 40×50 cm suits a living-room or bedroom wall, the 50×70 cm gives the venue a real presence, the 30×40 cm and the A4 on paper work well for a tight view, a porch, a chapel, an arbour. Give the date in your first message: the actual timing is written in the quote.

Giulia Dal Bon, a painter trained at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. What exactly do you receive?
The painting itself, on canvas or on paper depending on the size you choose, varnished, signed if you wish, and carefully packed for shipping, sent from the destination country. Before that, you receive the first two sketches, free, and you follow the progress in photos. A 50% deposit once the sketch is approved, balance at the end.
Which photo of the venue do you need?
A photo of the building or the setting taken from the front, in daylight, showing the whole. Your wedding photos do the job very well, and the photographer’s too. Add two or three: the façade, the laid table, the avenue. Giulia composes the framing and shows it to you on the sketch.
Can we appear in front of the venue?
Yes, from a photo of you and the person you love. The couple on the steps, the outline of a dress on the avenue, a couple dancing under the lights: Giulia places them at the right scale, and you approve their position on the sketch. The price follows the size of the canvas.
It is a gift for a couple getting married, how do I go about it?
Get hold of a photo of the venue, on the invitation, on the estate’s website or among their pictures, and send it with the date to Giulia. She replies within 48 hours with a free quote, proposes two sketches, paints, and sends you photos of the finished painting before shipping, to prepare the handover.
Can it be ordered for a wedding anniversary?
Yes, and it is a beautiful gift for ten, twenty-five or fifty years of marriage. The photos of the time are enough, even old or black and white: the paint brings back the colours of the venue as it was. You can ask for the season and the time of day you remember.
What is the difference with live wedding painting?
Live painting is painted on site, during the reception, in front of your guests, and you leave with the canvas the same evening, from 950 €. The venue painting is painted in the studio, from photos, before or after the wedding, from 90 €. Both exist, and the second is commissioned just as happily once the date has passed.
How long before the wedding should I order?
Allow three weeks to be safe: time for the sketches, the painting, the drying and the shipping. Give the date in your first message, the actual timing is written in the quote, and Giulia plans the calendar so the painting is ready in time.
Does the painting arrive ready to give?
It arrives ready to hang on canvas, with painted edges, carefully packed. On paper, the A4 fits a standard frame, which makes the gift easy to prepare. You receive photos of the finished painting before shipping, and the parcel can go straight to the couple with a note from you.
