Who paints the gift painting?

Giulia Dal Bon, a painter trained at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. She exhibits her paintings in art galleries, paints by brush, on canvas or on paper, from your photos, and ships the painting anywhere in Europe, carefully packed. Will the painting arrive for the date I have in mind?

Give the date in the first message: Giulia organises her calendar around it, and the real timing is written in the quote. She warns well in advance if anything changes. For a very close date, the gift voucher settles it: it is given at once, and the painting is made afterwards, at the pace the person chooses.

How is it handed over?

You receive photos of the finished painting before it is sent, which lets you prepare the moment. The parcel leaves carefully packed, to your address or straight to the person, as you prefer, shipped from the destination country. Urgent shipping costs more.

How do I know whether a portrait of the person who died is a welcome gift?

Choose the moment: after the first weeks, when the grieving person begins to want images again. Prefer a photo they love, and a modest size, 30×40 or A4, that finds its place quietly. Giulia paints with discretion and ships to your address so that you give it yourself. Two complimentary sketches, adjusted with you.

Can the portrait be delivered straight to the grieving person?

Yes, with a note from you tucked in the parcel, or without, as you prefer. Giulia packs the canvas for shipping and sends the tracking number. You can also receive the painting at home and hand it over in person: say so when ordering, she adapts.

Why give a painting rather than an object?

Because it looks at the person receiving it: it gives them back someone they love. An object can be replaced; a painted portrait is kept and handed down. How do I get the photos while keeping the surprise?
