Who can paint a portrait from a photo?

A portrait painter. You send your photos, old ones and phone snaps included; she picks the one that works best, draws the sketch over it and shows it to you. With Giulia the first two sketches are free: you give her your feedback, and she adjusts. She then paints by hand, and the painting reaches you carefully packed.

How do I get a portrait painted?

You write to the artist with your photos and the size you have in mind. Giulia replies within 48 hours with a free quote. Once the sketch is approved, you pay a 50 % deposit, she paints, she shows you the work in progress, and you settle the balance at the end, when you are happy with the painting. Look at finished portraits first: the likeness, the eyes, the light on the skin, the hands. Can a photo be turned into a painting?
